Getting Started

Ok, this is gonna be my first attempt at making a personal website. I deleted my social media accounts so I am fully committed to preserving my online presence in a private-owned and operated server. I've found it to be quite enjoyable using HTML and CSS to construct this fledgling site and I am excited to expand my capabilities with JavaScript.

I have gotten a lot of inspiration from others' personal websites. Actually, I am quite surprised at the sheer number of personal sites existing in the modern web. I thought they had all been supplanted by the likes of facebook and instagram. I have discovered thriving webrings, neocities sites, and truly independent blogs. It appears the so-called "old web" is still alive and well.
